Anti-Aging Treat

We offer 2 different Anti-Aging Treatments at Sonder: Radiofrequency Therapy (RF) and SWiTCH by Circadia.

Radiofrequency  Therapy (RF) is a common non-invasive aesthetic procedure that uses a high-frequency alternating current to heat tissue in the dermis of the skin in a controlled and selective way to increase collagen, which consequently decreases skin laxity and photoaging. This thermal effect is so efficacious because it causes changes in collagen structure and also triggers neocollagenesis, or the production of new collagen fibers, in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue.

SWiTCH is a gentle alternative to chemical peels for aging skin. With SWiTCH by Circadia, enjoy revitalized, younger-looking skin every 4-6 weeks, without any peeling or thinning of the skin. Unlike peels, SWiTCH promotes natural skin repair without causing injury, leaving you with firmer, luminous skin.

How does it work? Once the skin reaches about 107.6°F or 42°C , the body releases heat-shock proteins that stimulate new collagen fibers to be created. Because of the ability of radiofrequency to reach the dermal layer of the skin, the skin is made firmer while existing collagen fibers are also strengthened.

The time for new cell turnover is 28 days, so radiofrequency treatments can be repeated regularly to achieve cumulative effects. This non-invasive treatment includes absolutely no downtime, pain, or discomfort, and works wonders at turning back the clock on your skin!

Commonly Asked Questions

1. How many treatments are needed?

This treatment can be done once every 4 weeks till desired results are achieved and then continued to maintain collagen levels and avoid future aging.

2. How long does each treatment take?

Each treatment takes approximately 1.5 hours as the skin needs to be gradually heated to 42°C.

3. Is there any downtime after the treatment?

There is no downtime after the treatment but you should avoid exercising and heat exposure for 48 hours so the heat trapped in your skin from radiofrequency can exit naturally. You may experience some redness and your skin may feel like its slightly sensitive for a few days.

4. Do I need more than 1 treatment?

If there has been a decrease of collagen and elastin in your skin for an extended period of time, multiple treatments will be needed to help boost those levels and repair the aging that has already taken place on the skin. The number of treatments depends on each individuals skin goals, the ability of skin cells to make new collagen and elastin, the amount made and much more.
